Noob from Livermore

Hi All,

I plan on snorkeling/spearfishing and Kayak fishing.
Have most of gear for 1st, am doing some shopping for a Kayak (Hobie?).
I mostly surf fish now and love all this ocean stuff.

Here to learn and join some group activities.

Sunrise on Railroad has a good selection and a staff that knows their products and they have demos you can take out to Shadow Cliffs or Del Valle

Thanks for the tip Buzzcut1, I will plan on doing that. I noticed they have alot of backpacking gear and such also, makes me wonder about a kayak/backpack/fishing trip up the coast sometime.

Welcome to the site. I'm also a Livermorian..liverite?  I'm new to the town for a couple years.  There's a few of us in town as well.  If you can swing it, feel free to come out to the Heroes on the Water event on May 1 at Shadow Cliffs, should be a great time to learn more about kayaks.
