I hope this hasn't been  gone over too much before, but early on i didn't pay much mind into running the underside of the nose of my kayak into whereever i was going to get out or take a break... albeit it wasn't all that hard it seems to start adding up. Now i don't ever touch my underside against anything like a boat ramp launch or rocks if i don't have to. My question is that I was wondering if there is any kind of shield or barrier that us kayakers can put on to prevent the wearing down of that high probability contact point that everyone has just for preservation's sake. I would think that something exists, although i haven't been able to find it after a bit of research.
any feedback would be appreciated. thanks guys

I just did a Google search for kayak keel protection and found all sorts of stuff...

Keel Shield looks rather interesting.

Haha! No worries. I'm sure others were wondering, as well.

I tried keel eze but it peeled off after a few trips. It even made a hole after it was dragged on dirt. I now use JB Weld on both ends and it works great

I haven't tried it personally but I know there were a good number of folks in Florida that used a couple layers of Gorilla Tape.  The sand down there would eventually wear through it but then you just take off whats left and add a few more layers of new tape.

I think most of my wear is during launching and pull out. I put it down on the stern to unload from my truck, then pick up the rear and rotate it to set it on my cart. Doing that on asphalt was wearing a spot on mine. Now I set a small door mat on the ground to cushion it. I think it is working.

I tried Gorilla Tape it doesn't last long and scrapes off easily.

Jb weld and done. Welcome back wbte!

Chad is spot on ....here is my JB weld install pics. Lasts about of year then you can re-coat or chip off with a putty knife and start over. I layout the areas with blue tape and remove as it sets up. The real secret is to have the areas completely clean of oil and dirt. The damage you see on the bow and keel are from before I starting to use JB Weld.
