those are sweet, awesome work.  giving me some good ideas but don't know if i'd want to melt any lead.  i was wondering if you'd ever want to make a different design with wet clay let me know, it might be easier to sculpt your positive original.  i teach a high school ceramics class and have kiln access.  liquid dish soap or silicone spray work good as a mold release for mold making.

That thing is SICK!!!!!!!!  Do you pour them yourself?  I have some plastic but need to come up with a mold for making swim baits but that is the holly grail of swim baits!!

I'll bet you SLAY with those.

I use real ones -barfed up ones - once in a while and just bring em up a foot or two off of bottom drops.. and slow paddle around any structure..the ling will come 25' if they want it and more---hit it right at the yak as you reel in......so like 2'-4' off the snags ,and super slow paddle to move it along.....bang...

Hi all.

Just ordered some Octobait Mini's. Any thoughts on rigging them onto a jighead (or is it self explanatory)? Someone mentioned using a zie tie to keep it on after all the hungry fishes were biting it.

Any hints on rigging or presentation welcome! (Other than drop to bottom, bounce, and hang on!)

Thanks!
I jighead works. Any size up to whatever will fit into the head cavity. 3oz. seems to be about right, as the bait is large and the heavier weight allows for a faster drop, which equates to more action.

Here are some pics of another way of rigging, which seems pretty sweet too. It's a double eye ball with a single or even double siwash. Fishkraft came up with this rig technique an me likey. You can jig or swim it. I'd toss the thing out on the rocks in shallow water to get an idea of how it acts and try to replicate that when in you're kayak.

Grim,

Are the last pics you posted older?  The ones on the website are much more refined looking.

I'm not sure where they can be found Luis. That's the rig Ruben came up with.
