Unfortunately the fishing today wasn't that great.  The divers weren't doing so well either.  About 10 kayaks on the water and nobody off the point. I went with my pops.  I seemed to be the only one hooking up with bigger fish. Saw one other NCKA member (can't remember his LONG name)

Well, I hit my normal holes and hooked up with a good size (33") Blue meat Linger.  Got a few blues only 3 worth keeping.

Thanks!  Didn't look like too many lings got hooked up in the kelp today.  Anything is better than nothing, and I cant complain about my first ling of the season.

Good to see you OTW Joe! It was a good day for some therapy! I ended up with a 28" ling and 5 rockies. I got broke off twice in the kelp so I got a lesson in patience too lol! I spent most of the morning trying to find and mark my secret spots for the derby coming up next month. I'm thinking it's a Re-Phil year :smt044 Sorry Pat! :smt003 Seriously it was good for me to just get out and be on the water! This was the longest trip out for me since I hurt my back and was just good to be out there and get my body working a little harder. I'll just have to keep going out more to get stronger (that's what I'm telling my wife) :smt044 Hope to see you out there again soon!
