After seeing all the camping friendly smokers show up over the Lake Sonoma over the pig season I felt compelled to up my game. With space at a premium when camping I love multi tasker gear. I found a thread on line about a modified smokey joe. I ordered the pot for $35 and the thermometer for $5 and with a pass on the jig saw a few holes it was done.

Trail run was salmon. Happy with the results and looking forward to smoked goodness under the stars.

Nice smoker E!!!  I've had mine for 3 years now and the only change I'd like to make is to raise the grates higher so the meats are further away from the heat.
