I drove out on fisherman's wharf around 4pm today to buy bait for rockfishing tomorrow and I saw lots of smaller jack mackerel being caught. People were using sabiki style rigs and pulling up three at a time. I didn't stop to watch, I just drove by but I probably saw 12-15 fish being caught right then. Either good timing or lots of mackerel are still out there.
