Dublin kayaker

Hey guys,


Looking for a few decent spots to get my pops out kayaking.  I'm normally fishing in Monterey but he wants to try pillar point.  Any advice?

Welcome to NCKA Joe    I usually launch from the Pillar Point Harbor and go straight out to the mile buoy.  There're some nice structures around this area for rock fish fishing.

Welcome! What Sailfish said... do a search for HMB (half moon bay). There are some areas to be avoided.

I gotta tell ya, I was expecting to see a Bronco pic instead of a pick-up. 

 

I'm not dead set on hmb.  Really anywhere from Monterey up to to Mendocino.  Just tring to put l my dad on some fish to get him hooked.  The kelp beds in monterY have been hit and miss.

Try Fort Ross, Still Water Cove (North), Timber Cove, or Mendocino State beach for better fishing than Monterey but the RF season up the opens on April 15th.
