I've "upgraded" to a newer model AI, so I'm selling my original AI.

2009 Adventure Island, yellow  (twist and stow rudder)
Lowrance transducer wired with Hobie through hull plug (no FF included)
2 Railblaza mounts installed
Mirage drive
Hobie cart (trax2, I believe)
Hobie paddle

Good condition.  Standard scratches on the hull.
It was sold as a demo, so it's been stamped "DEMO" in areas of the kayak.
FYI, it's registered (has pink slip), and we'll have to do the Transfer paperwork.

***SOLD***

Gotta get this thing out of my garage!  How's $2000?  Make me an offer?

Well, I would say sail condition = perfect.  My usual set up is use of one outrigger for trolling and/or crabbing.  The rest of the time, I just use it as a kayak.  Only used the full sailing rig twice.

Turbo fins... which I believe are standard for the Islands.

Good to know Pat!  But the "new" AI that I just picked up is already rigged with a number of your mounts, so I'm trying get to sweeten the deal for my '09 sale.  :smt003

Major difference between 2009 to 2012 when sailing . You will notice it right away when you are tacking cause of the difference of the rudder system .. Nope not yet for sale ! Unless Hobies comes up with another huge improvement .. Lol

From a fishing and transport perspective, the twist and stow rudder is better than the 2012 shark fin rudder. The 2012 rudder is superior when sailing upwind. Personally, I prefer the twist and stow. Note that all of the enhancements beginning in 2011 (strengthened hull, rudder, aka bars, AMA, sail, seat) improved sailing performance but also increased weight, cost and mechanical complexity. If you are getting an AI as a sail assisted fishing platform, the pre-2012 AI work fine. Salmon trolling is usually at only 2-3 MPH so you don't need much sail performance. If you are going for albacore though, I would get a
2015 AI and add an outboard.  :smt005 The 2015 is awesome though, and if I was sailing a lot, I would definitely upgrade.
