This company is not affiliated with Propel drives. They have no pedal offering. Brand new startup

Even spelled different.  If the parts were interchangeable .... well then yeah, a problem maybe.

Love the comparison chart vs. "other brands".  What I fail to see in their "we are better" comparison is HP or Thrust output.  The others are larger & heavier because they have, I would assume, FAR greater thrust output.  It's almost like saying they have a 2.5hp outboard & they boast how fuel efficient it is on a canoe vs. a 40hp.  Oh well .... it's all in how you market something.

I tried this system years ago on a P15.  I used a full sized trolling motor battery, and it made the yak so heavy stability was compromised.  But boy did it jet that P15.  I would lock the Minn Kota straight and steer with my rudder.  With better battery technology, you could probably eliminate most of the weight.  Now I just pedal.  Note the CF numbers.  Required if you go electric.

Yes and this mfr has no intention of adapting for the cassette on a Hobie. He claims that the lack of tilt-up with the cassette approach is a deal breaker.

It has a Ni-Mh  battery after a few years you need a new one.  That is when they get you.
