Tuesday evening I launched at the Petaluma Marina around 6:45 pm. I was excited to finally get this boat on the water and see what it was like. 16' long and 24" wide. The hull is rounded. No flat spots. A small narrow spot at the end for tracking. No hard chines on the boat at all. When I first sat in it, it immediately leaned over. The initial stability is not so good but manageable. It carves well once you get the hang of the hull. Which I am in no way used to yet. I paddled hard for two hours. It was hard to gauge the speed with no GPS. I would have to do a time comparison with the T-15 to see where its at. The glide was OK not anything more. Definitely better than a poly boat SOT. I paddled all the way up to downtown and beyond a ways up to the first feed mill. Some outrigger canoe fellas were on the river and they really fly. Got passed by a five man crew scull too.  :smt044 :smt006  All in all, it was good to see where Ocean Kayaks roots stared and what Tim Niemer put together down in Malibu in the early 70's. I didn't roll but man if you lose your focus until the boat becomes second nature you will.

BTW paddling back down under the 101 overcrossing of the river you can see what an awesome job they are doing on the bridge. Just surreal and beautiful.
