Hi everyone,

My name is Kevin, the wife and I live in Meadow Vista, CA. I am going to be a super noob here as I haven't really done much fishing since I was a kid and I am pretty sure things have gotten a lot better since then...

I am most likely getting a Hobie Tandem Island as I enjoy sailing. We are both scuba certified, though we don't really have any gear for it.

My wife (Meghan) so far is not super into fishing, but enjoys kayaking and likes cooking and learning new ways to cook.

Other than that... we recently got back from a 5 month trip from Europe, and now I am back to working though now 2 jobs for about 54-70 hrs a week...yay...(accounting). I am probably going to be down to 1 job and a regular life here within the next few months.

So I would love to get some tips on everything from gear to setups to about anything haha.

Thanks for the tip eelkram, I work at Hills Flat Lumber and for some reason they are also Hobie dealers, so I am able to get a discount. I am trying to work it out to get one of the 2015 TI's as they will have the upgraded seats, sail and amas. Oh lets not leave out the Lowrance ready setup for the transducer.

I have recently been looking at some peoples mods where they put a tent and/or a canopy type thing. Anyone have any experience doing anything like that?
