I use the blood knot and have never had issues. 5 each side with 65 lb. braid and 20 lb. flouro.  Small clean knot with very little eye rub. I stopped a very big ling from getting back into a crack on 3 or 4 hard runs with a drag-seized reel and the knot held up just fine. Easy as pie to tie too. I use it for all line-to-line connections, excluding the nail knot for fly line.

Blood Knot.  As long as the diameters are not too far off from each other.  If so then Alberto.  Have tried the FG knot and it is not as easy as the Aussies make it out to be----to me at least.

Does anyone tie the Bristol? I hear that's the be all, end all, almost 100% knot.

I've never tried it. Looks damn meticulous.
