Checked out coyote for the first time with the kayak. Fished from 9am-2pm til it got hot. A lot of boats out everyone was catching dinks i couldn't even get a dink so i started to screw around with the ff i just installed, saw some action, made a quick uturn casted at the the area i saw the arch then bam, scored this guy. Didn't have a scale but i think he was over 3lbs close to 4lbs. In about 20ft of water. Fished for a while and was dry the rest of the day.

I haven't been kayaking at Coyote yet, but was biking there a couple weeks ago and passed by the launch area. Yes, they do the boat inspection. If you can make it on a weekday, you'll probably have the place (almost) to yourself.
I don't like stuff that sucks.

Coyote is my home lake lots of big bass in there. Yes they do an inspection. They seemed to have open up for boats early this year since you were on the water 3/14. Just read Coyote bait and tackle fishing reports it states open for boating since the rains  came and a few 8lb to 10lb bass showed up but the water is stained. Maybe tomorrow Ill be there.
