Hi guys just thought id share my setup with pics.

-lowrance elite 3x ff with transducer $100
-hummingbird 12v battery with charger $40
-5l dry bag from friendly swede $20(2pk)
-ram 1in ball mount for the above ff $31
-west marine wire cap $6
-marine goop $11
-garden knee pad from osh (transducer pad) $8

I decided to go with the "shoot through hull" setup
