What the heck is it?

Its a dive and fishing board made by a company called mallotte. I bought one in 1974 for diving. They are made of fiberglass. They have two hatches and are bulkheaded with foam and sealed with fiberglass under the seating area.

I thought it was some type of "kayak trailer" to haul gear in for an extended excursion.
