Ok so I have heard the arguments about why and why not to use a crate in the back of a yak. so lets dig a little deeper.... what do you guys use to store your bigger swim baits and your lead head Jigs in while on your yak?

Hey Sarge,

I'm always using a crate in all my boats. I seem to take tons of tackle, line, gloves, all kinds of crap, especially when I go bass fishing. I also have 3 rod holders attached (pvc pipe) which I wouldn't have if I didn't have a crate.
The crate I currently use is very lightweight and a bit thinner regrading it's actual width and longer than the normal crate. I've never seen any other like it so I snag it when I had the chance. It has grooved notches on the top which my Hobie bungy lines fit in perfectly. I've had a few limits of huge rockfish, lings, etc. in it with no issues regarding space. Crate it up buddy!

Can "lock" your paddle underneath it. Carry all the tackle you will actually need. If you roll, you won't lose your tackle. Tackle is right there when you need it. Waterproof.
