REGISTER! The Port Open Event

I have a predator xl minn Kota with a built in trolling motor. Will I be able to use it in this tournament?

Paddle or pedal only in this series.

Ok can I leave the motor console in the kayak and not bring a battery because it is $200 for the non motor console and it's exactly the same just no motor?

I will check the boat for battery, if you are only human powered you'll be good to go.

Oh Absolutely Pat. We encourage everyone part of Ncka to come out and support there Buds and the cause. Raffle and Awards after checkin, and probably pizza and Cervezas at Round Table Afterwards

Better than that, they will be able to compete... we will be hosting an open event for anyone who didn't qualify for the TOC. All details will be available after the Clear Lake event.

Overall, It's going to be a huge event... Full demo day, tons of prizes, vendor sales, BBQ and lots of good times!

I'm not sure if I'll be making it to the port, but got a favor to ask the south bay NCKA express.  If anyone from the south bay is going, and don't mind taking a few lures to deliver to Naoaki, please give me a holler.   Thanks.

Might have to tote the kayak out there during the event, if for no other reason to drag some trash out of my home waters.

What's with the no bait rule, all of a sudden?

Yeah, it's been interesting listen to the bait guys whine and cry. No bait will result in the best top 3 angler$$, period. Skill, technique, dedication, homework and the ability to read and adjust on the "fly"  will get it done. For the "bait" guys, step up your game. I don't use bait to catch fish at the Port or really anywhere else and I've never had a problem catching fish!

You can catch stripers, bass, crappie and bluegills. Not sure if salmon will still be around.

Do the people that qualified for the event need to sign up or do anything ahead of time?

Also is there a minimum size for each species?  If so can you post that info.
