If you're wondering if your local Radio Shack store is closing, check out the list. 1,784 stores closing within a couple of months.

Can't imagine why. Their in-store selection of the useful stuff that people used to go there for has dwindled as the displays of cellphones and tablets have continually expanded. The useful stuff that they do have is 50% more expensive than any number of online retailers. The staff, which used to be super helpful and knowledgeable electronics folks, are now cellphone salesmen/women. Tried to use their Fix It Here service to repair the USB hub on a cellphone last week and spent the entire day visiting every store from Petaluma to Corte Madera, getting the runaround and misinformation at every stop. Cellphone never got fixed.

Other than that, its great !  :smt044

As a Radio Shack alumni.....sad to see them go but they didn't evolve. I had good memories from the old store. We were in the middle of a strip mall with a jewelry store on one side that had plenty of cute girls and a pizza parlor on the other side with beer. A lot of my management style today comes from lessons learned from good and bad managers back then.
