Nikon Brand Loyalty Doesnt Account for $h!t!

During the past 10 years, I literally dropped over $20k into Nikon cameras & lens; not to mention hunting optics like scopes, binos and rangefinders. And the minute you ask them for a little favor in return, they hide behind politics.

They claim my request does not fit within the guidelines for approval... Phluck Them!!!

I will never, EVER by another thing from Nikon again!!! There are alot of other good products out there besides them!

Really?  Why are you mad at them?  They don't owe you/us anything.

A search for Nikon on this site turns up 61 posts.  A search for Hobie turns up 4266.  It's pretty easy to see that this isn't an area of focus for Nikon.

Never had any problems with any of my canons.

I used to have an Elan 7. I upgraded last you to a digital T3i

I also had an A80. Recently I upgraded to a S110.

they ain't owe you nothing other than maybe customer service for really good product you purchased.

take it from someone who works in consumer products.  its tough to kick out freebies when we feel a demand/obligated.  Tends to trigger the reverse effect, actually!

It must be winter if a Nikon v Canon thread jack is occurring on a kayak fishing board! There are lots of photo blogs/boards that must have an eternal flame lit on that subject!

I was a Canon guy since the film days but got rid of it all two years ago (except the 100-400 which I still need to get rid of).  Now have an Olympus  OMD EM-1 system with lenses.  So much nicer not having to carry around all that weight!!!

No, my jeep! I saw them install one on an offroad chase vehicle on one of those TV car shows.... they also had a custom mount bracket option too....
