Standard Horizon HX 851 for $119.00

I don't know if this one can do it, but I know my Lowrance Link 2 can.

I ordered this one since it's too good a deal to pass up. A second radio would come in handy once my Link 2 is back from getting repaired.

Does anybody know if this radio can privately transmit your GOS coordinates to a buddy?  Just thinking.   

I am assuming you meant GPS coordinates, and not where Jim is fishing? If that is the case, then yes. DSC can send your GPS position to or request GPS positions from another vessel.

Placed an order today,   mine just crapped out today,  need to send it in for service

How big is this radio??  I am considering it. But like it to fit on my pfd. 

How is the battery life?

the radio is fairly big, but i dont have a problem with the battery lasting all day for me

  I have just order one as well. When I was crabing with Michael M (Da Bruddah), My Uniden was not broadcasting. While it's waiting to be looked at, I don't want to take any chances.

Mine is a little tight in the radio pocket of my Kokatat PFD but it does fit.

O well I ordered one.. There are other sites listing for a few bucks cheaper..  but has added shipping cost.

From researching They just came out with a 870 model.  more added gps points and man overboard button..   

I never used one of these radios.. but I rather have it on me then not.  From my last motorcycle crash after losing my front brakes. If I was alone Id be screwed..  No  phone reception and shoulder broken in 3. tRuE STORY BrO 

Id hate to have something happen on the water... Ill just deal with the bulkiness I don't see radios with the same features being any smaller. I like thae fact I can use it as a bobber for my fishing line since it floats.

Notice here for tomorrow also..  I feel that they will honor the price.  Some suppliers/distributor may need to meet a minimum order.  That is why we may all have the same notice.

Amazon has it for 135.00  on prime. So the market price is not way off.  The MFG is probably getting rid of their stock.  To make room for the newer model. Does not surprise me if they discontinue it.  Wasnt there a 750 model before this current one...
