Well it looks like the Jetty Campground is booked now, except for the spots that are first come first serve. Is anybody camping in the Cove, Gull, or Shell Campgrounds? They are at Doran Beach just in a different area.

I am new to NCKA and am wanting to meet some members.  Is there a camp site close by where i could drive on over for the festivities?

The Cove, Gull, or Shell Campgrounds are in the same campground just different locations. The link on the first page will show you what is available in those sites.

The Jetty camp site area also have a few first come first serve, (non reservable) sites too.  Look at the link as vwool stated (1st post) for more details.  That will be a better option as it's near the Jetty day use parking, which is where the check in and out area will be.

The Doran Beach Cove restrooms will be closed for renovation from approximately November 30, 2015 through March 3, 2016. Alternate restrooms/showers are located at the nearby Jetty and Miwok campgrounds.
 
Campsites #46 through #63 will be closed during the restroom renovation. If you have one of these sites reserved during the closure, please contact us at (707) 565-2267, 10 am – 3 pm, M-F (excluding holidays) to modify your current reservation.

Thanks for sharing the info Annie, I got the same email. Looks like anybody in the Jetty Campground is good.

Only: 141 days, 2 hours, 49 minutes, 54 seconds left until Crabfest 2016. If you know of any Kayak Fishing Companies that would like to Sponosr the event please let me know. This will be the 5th year Crabfest has been held and I am looking to make it the best. All donations are used for prizes or the raffle(proceeds donated to several different causes over the year).

I just want to know where the carrot cake camps and the pulled pork and the paella and that wild boar stew 

ME TOO!  I ate half that carrot cake! 

In for next year, same spot!

OK, I am counting the days down until Crab Fest. Seriously looking forward to it - can't wait to get away for a few days, enjoy the water (and maybe the wind, haha).

I know that January will be here before I know it, but reading all the posts makes me "home sick" for NCKA!

I am hoping to post more info towards the end of the month. I am getting excited too.
