Hello,

Joining from Sacramento and trying to break into kayak fishing. My current fishing trips involve trailering my boat to Bodega Bay or Half Moon Bay and then boating for over an hour to get to my favorite reefs which are usually a half mile from shore or so. Then the boat ride back, huge fuel bill, boat and motor maintenance, etc. Seems like for much of the fishing I do, a Kayak would be better. Launch at Ft Ross or down by Pescadero and be on the fish in minutes, plus I will not have to pay the $20 each way bridge toll when I tow the boat to HMB.

Looking at a Hobie Outback. I want to get outfitted and proficient by the time Rock fishing starts.  of my fishing buddies is going to do the same thing. after rock fishing, I hope to use the kayak to dive as well.

Happy to find this forum!
