Just got the Extrasport Retro Glide Sabre PFD.  Just wondering if anyone has this model?  Pro and cons?  Also, got the Extrasport Solstice but need the seas to calm down.  Lakes I just have it with me.  But the Ocean and Bay I will wear it.

I have both.  The Sabre is not a high back PFD so it rides up a bit.  IMO, the pocket arrangement is better than the Solstice.    The fit is really similar if not almost the same (other than the high baclk).  I reach for the Solstice first when I'm fishing, and the Sabre pulls loaner duty.

BTW, saw your post on the WA thread.  I'll let you know the next time I'm planning on hitting the Forebay and perhaps we can hook up.

Yeah,

Had the Solstice on today at Quarry Lakes in Fremont.  Paddle for a few hrs and it is the best.

I have the Solsitice and I love it. I have a highback seat and have very little interference.

Got the Sabre today.  Has a paddle back. Will not be on my body, soon.  Will use as back-up.  Soltice is the good one.

i don't like mine that much because it will ride up on you' the pockets are the best but I think i will get the 'Solsitice'  and sew a pocket on it
for my radio.

but i think the sabre will float better in a bad situation it is a lot of vest I don't think I trust a vest that don't have a lot of foam in the back
if you are out cold :smt012

Danglin,

A lot of websites do.  Just do a search.  But, I have been getting my off of E-bay.  Soltice I save about $40 and on the Sabre around $50 and no sale tax.
