This looks to be a slam dunk as far as manpower, kayaks and food go.  It looks like we will have 10-12 vets.  Between RacinRob, Danglin, Raydon, and others, we should have plenty of yaks for everyone.

Our burning kayak man, aka kayakjack has control of the breakfast, lunch menu with help from GB2, AFCM for chilimac and more chili.  Water is being brought by several members. I will being an alternative lunch.

Here is who I have now:

Sailfish (?)
Chattich
GreatBass 2 (can't attend)
AFCM
VK
Sarge
Portugese Seahorse
Rider & Savanah
Wormguy
Shicken (can't attend)
Bmb & Olivia
Tony Moore55
Wilderness Medic --around 11am
DG-  help in the kitchen with Jack

If we can get a couple of guys to volunteer for early morning duty with Jack to set up the
kitchen please let me know.
Kitchen help is needed for both breakfast and luinch.  Let me know

If you know the lake, like Portugese Seahorse, please share the info so we can get these vets on some fish.  Once you see one of the vets catch a fish, you always remember that.

Last time we were there, some trout were caught, some bass and a couple of blue gill.

Please stick around to help clean up.

Thanks to Don for making this happen and to you volunteers for stepping up.  If this is your first time at a HOW event, just remember to relax, stay calm and assist when you see the need and if someone asks for help.   We will have some new vets.  We want to reassure them they are safe with us, and we appreciate their service.  Just a reminder to not ask about their experiences in the service.  If they volunteer information about their experiences in the service,  listen.  Sometimes, they just need to talk.

If you are a guide, stay close,  so you can hear them if they have questions. If the vet wants to just  float and relax that's  ok,   But never let them out of your sight.

Thanks again for your help to our heroes.

My work schedule is shifting around a little but it still looks good for next week. I'll know for certain on Monday. I'm in Napa so I'd be happy to be up there early to help Jack with set up and whatever needs to be done.

That is a long way to travel for a couple of hours of volunteering.  It looks as if we are going to have enough help.  Save yourself for an event that you can come early and stay all day.  I really appreciate your willingness to make the drive, however.

My schedule just opened for Friday.  You guys still need a hand?  I'd be happy to help out with grunt/dirty work... as I'm not much of a freshwater guy.  Have truck, will travel.
