Hi, I'm Stephen from Oakland

Hi, I'm completely new to kayak fishing (just bought a Jackson "Big Tuna") and California fishing in general, so I look forward to learning from and meeting NCKA anglers.  Any suggestions on where and what to kayak fish for this time of year within an hour of Oakland?

Welcome, your going to love it! You can fish San Pablo Bay for Sturgeon or Stripped Bass right now. This is how I cope until Rock Fish opens back up. Additional options beyond and hours travel. PM anytime you want a go, I fish every weekend!

Welcome! Also from OAK here. Not a lot of tips to share yet; I'm also in the learning phase.

Where you live in Oaktown? I think all the  we should make the Kingfish our regular meeting place. Except for the Superbowl. Did you know McNally's is a Seahawks bar?  The fishing is really good in Chinatown.
