Thinking about buying this dry suit:

Has anyone seen it in person?  Any thoughts about it?  Do you think it would be a good purchase?  Thanks!

Michael

Looks like a great suit design.  You can't go wrong with Kokatat and Gortex.  Not cheap but well made and supported with a great guarantee from a great local company.  I wouldn't trade my front entry Gortex suit for anything, except maybe one of those.  The ability to separate the top and bottom looks like a really good idea and would be much more practical than the bulky front relief zipper.

Ive had great experiences with the company. I once stopped by the shop to drop off my suit for a pressure test and ended up going through the back door seeing 50+ staff members sewing away and drysuits all over the place. It was a really cool scene actually.

Mike.
If you are still deciding....
I just bought a Stohlquist from CCK.

It's called the Elvis.....I was deadest on getting a Kokotat but then realized the one I was looking at, around the same price pt, the Super Nova isn't actually a drysuit...Kokotat calls it a paddling suit whereby the neck is not water tight.. It has a neoprene gasket on neck which is less water tight than latex....

I have been using a neoprene neck and actually prefer that interns of comfort vs latex......I figured that if I am in e water....I'd be bobbing and need not have total water tight fit on neck...

But I still decided to go with this Stohlquist Elvis model bc I think it has a superior design.
It's selling for $599. According to those CCK guys this suit is normally in the $900 range...could be salesmanship but I am actually impressed with the quality of workmanship and material.

Still need to do my due diligence on their customer service / warranty policies....I know Kokotat sets the bar..

It's worth going into the old Aquan (now cck) to compare side by side.

Kokatat will change out the neoprene neck for a latex if you ever want to do it.

That's funny,  I actually swapped my latex neck gasket for a neoprene one for comfort reasons.  However, knowing Daviator and the way he rolls, latex is the right call!
