War of The Worlds

went to the Russian today up above Dry Creek for some Steelhead fishing. Fished a couple of hours and nada.Came home and turned the TV on to watch H.G. Wells 1953 War of The Worlds, And was delighted to see the main caractors were scientist on a high mountain camping trip to fish for trout. It really put a smile on my face to see the Creel full of fish and a view of old school americana! Then things got alittle dicey after that

It must be a new netflix selection because I watched the same movie Sunday eve and noticed the same thing. I loved it when the guy took a smoke from the scientist and the other one stuck out a flaming stick from the fire, "Need a light?"
Also the scientist geek got the girl!

Have you seen the remake of War of the Worlds?  Saw the movie set at Universal Studios and it was realistic enough that with a lot of smoke it would have been freaky.
