All,

I know this is common knowledge, but I must emphasize it again.

Alan Tani is THE MAN.

I have never met (really, I haven't met him) a person more helpful or prompt or courteous or anything, than Alan Tani.

We have been doing some business and discussion on reel repair behind the scenes and I could not be more impressed.  Very prompt and helpful.

I encourage all of you to direct your questions and business to Alan.

I'm just a newbie here (and to kayaking/fishing) but I thought I would add my 0.02

I was looking to try out an Ocean Kayak Caper, and was having a tough time finding one for rental/demo.
Alan PMed me yesterday morning and offered to lend me his for 2 weeks.
He doesn't know me from Adam, and here he is offering me his kayak, PFD, paddle and wheels?

At first I thought, there's gotta be a catch. But after reviewing all the posts by/about him, it was immediately clear this guy is super generous and just a nice guy all around.
Meeting people like this sure helps balance out all the jerks you meet (ie road ragers, rude people, etc.)

Alan, thanks for the Caper. See you Sunday when I pick her up!!
