Force feeding any animal with a tube down their throat is just wrong.

I would never vote for or against it though.  I don't feel it is my place to tell others what they can and can not do.  But I am against in my personal beliefs.

Looking fwd to having a feeding tube to be forced down my gullet and loaded with foie.

There is the 1 guy in Spain who, for some unknown reason, has a wild flock of geese that naturally land on his property, then stay and overeat. No force feeding. I think This American Life did a segment on it.

Then what, he trims the flock one bird/ year? He can't wack em all at once in commercial volume, they wouldn't ever return to his property!   

Man I can see & do a lot of things to make my food better. I have lived among many cultures and understand our differences but IMHO that S#@T is just wrong. That picture of the worker in the pen with funnel and goose says it all, no one is volunteering to be next.....

As pictures go this isn't nearly as bad as any of the factory farms.

I'm with ScottV -- as a personal choice I don't order foie gras. As far as making it into an issue, there are bigger fish to fry, so to speak.
