I signed up to take the freediving pool session on Feb. 14th.  Anyone else happen to be taking this too?  From old posts, it looks like a few of you have taken this before and enjoyed the class.  I tried to get into the January 3rd class, but nobody else signed up so I had to reschedule.  Figured I'll do this class, then try the ocean one in March.

I really want to get into underwater hunting.  Figured this would be a good start and would possibly meet some others there too.  Tried talking my friends into joining but they're all afraid of getting into the water.

Chris, great decision on taking a Freediving Class.  Adventure SCUBA  in Reno offers a 3 day freediving class usually first part of July when Lake Tahoe warms up just a FYI.   I freedive Lake Tahoe every month of the year and if you wish to join me give me  PM.  Are you spearfishing along with chasn' those wicked fast Abs??

I've done both the pool and open ocean classes with David, you won't be dissapointed.  Improved my breath-hold, overall comfort in the water and depth.  Really good stuff.  Before his class I was pretty new to freediving, been down around 25 foot mark.  He got me down to 50 feet.  The portion concerning reducing heartrate and overall stoke are worth the price of admission and will definitely get you jonesing for your next dive.
Have fun!

What better gift to give your loved one than peace of mind knowing you will be a better and safer diver?
It's all in the perspective.  :smt044
Bring your wetsuit. That "heated" pool gets damned cold after a bit. BTDT
You'll love the class. TONS of great info and technique.

Fortunately she will be at a bachelorette party down in San Diego that weekend so I won't be in the dog house.  :smt001  Thanks for the heads up on a wetsuit.  I tend to be a cold water wuss and was wondering about that.

-Thanks Russ, I'll send a PM.  Would love to join ya at Lake Tahoe.  Only did scuba there once and it sure gets cold further down.  -- haven't ever had abs before, but I'm sure once I taste one, I'll want to hunt for those too.  :smt001

Just signed up for the Feb 14 class. I figured I would wait till after the pool class to sign up for the ocean portion. But I am excited to learn. New to the abalone  went 2 x last year so that makes only 3x I've swam in the ocean. Also I would like to get into spearfishing. So I am sure the class will help a lot.
