Mr and Mrs Junky joined me for a day chasing crabs at Tomales Bay Sunday.  We dropped the first pot at 8 AM and moved them around until 2 PM.  Our luck wasn’t with us today but we did manage to put 10 keepers in the box.  We also kept 6 big rockies.  The tides were a little larger than I like for crab at 4 feet but do-able.  While waiting for the crabs to crawl into the traps we tried for surf perch by Hogg Island where Kevin in the past did really well.  No perch but the jack smelt were abundant.  Abbey nailed about 10 of em!   At 2 PM we had enough and headed to the ramp to haul out and cook the bounty.   The WX was stellar today with calm winds, smooth water and shirt sleeve temps.  A few photos for your approval…

The WX was perfect today as proven by all the kayaks on the water.

The bait tank starts filling up.

Abbey was killing the jack smelt.

Now the work begins.

Kevin and Abbey(the greenhorn) ready for the ride home.  Good job.

Thanks for the Tomales report and pictures Kevin.
