Arrived at a foggy Howe ramp around 6am this morning. Frank was already there and unloading. Steve-O arrived a few minutes later. James was already on the river. Launched and headed down to the pump. I started trolling a k14 at the pump and trolled my way down to the foot bridge. Noticed there were only a few pb's out this morning, fewer than usual. Very few fish rolling while it was foggy and the rolls picked up when the sun broke through. I trolled, I jigged and I tossed some spinners for nothing. :smt012

On a good note, I tried out my new quick release anchor system and it worked great.
I used the Mooch&ChuckE design. Thanks guys! :smt006

Let out my anchor below the bridge and fished a k14 while the salmon were rolling around me. Almost fell asleep while sitting there.

Only saw two salmon caught by the pb's. One was jigging next to the pump.
The other was trolling a kwikfish w/o weights and hooked up while passing the pump. That was it.

James and Frank in the fog.

Nice day on the river after the fog burned off. This is the pump. Howe ave bridge is in the back.

This is the Guy West footbridge.

This beautiful fish was caught jigging near the pump. This gentleman is "Mad Canoe" on the fishsniffer board.
Great guy. He and his son are on the river often, usually in a motorized canoe.

Nice try Al. You are due.
Did you try just below the Guy West Bridge? Log hole is just downstream from there on the right. Used to be a nice holding spot.

Thanks Mike...I'll get mine. Just gotta keep trying.

I did try that area. That's where I anchored for a while. Most of the rolling happend there.
There is a hole along that stretch that drops down to 17-19 feet.

Really nothing to add to Al's report other than #14 Quickfish in chartruse and chrome with a sardine wrap took two fish right in front of James and I. The gentlemens name was Jim who rerigs the lures with a single 4/0(trailer) taking the center treble off then wrapping the underbelly with the sardine fillet wrap marinated in salt and brown sugar.Trolled the pump house where he took a 7# and looked to be 12# at a slow troll. It was fun watcjhing him bring those in but I'm sure it would have been more fun catching instead.
We worked that area from sun up to sun down.

I use a 1.5 folding grapnel. Don't remember if I bought it from my local dive shop or West Marine.
