Wow thansk for the great intel here! I'm sure I could easily find this location on the lake, it has so many distinguighing marks , I guess just look for the off colored location with trees in the background! 

or maybe you just have a man crush on tom /wormguy ?(don't ask ) that you wanted to post his photo.

Sorry I have a sick sense of humor that loves to rile things up. I was giving Ron a hard time based on his description of what he posted. I really just think Ron could use a better camera.

I turned off the GPS Don't worry, I will be letting everyone in on the choice spots.

Okay thanks for the intel. What is the best campground at this time of year on this lake, thinking about heading somewhere this weekend might as well be here!

Hobie-Dave and I are probably going to go to the Orchard Springs campground for a couple of days next week, weather permitting.  It appears to be the best campground in terms of services, including a marina.

greenhorn has on the water camping... Long paddle to some parts of the lake. But if you do a land crossing at peninsula camp ground, it's easy to access both sides. Let me know when you come up...

Greenhorn and Peninsula campgrounds don't have hook-ups according to their web sites and Long Ravine gets terrible reviews.  This will be a scouting expedition for a decent campground and maybe a little fish scouting too.  The plan is to arrive sometime next Tuesday and stay a couple of nights.
