Central Coast Kayakfishing is proud to offer its first open party Santa Cruz clinic on Saturday June 25th.

Learn to successfully fish for halibut with Central Coast Kayakfishing guide and Santa Cruz local Brendan Crahan. These trips, designed for the beginning to advanced angler, offer an in depth introduction to the rich halibut fishery found off Santa Cruz.

July, August and September are the best months for big halibut in the Monterey Bay, with the average size of the fish this year ranging from 10-25 lbs. The fish can be caught from 10-70 foot of water, within easy reach of the kayak angler.

Topics we will cover include live bait and artificial fishing, halibut rigs, halibut seasonal behavior, marine bio surrounding the fishery, safely landing big halibut from a kayak, kayak fishing safety, seasonal weather patterns, and rigging.

Cost is $80. Call now or email to reserve your spot.

his classes are top notch.he will teach you alot about are local waters.he has taught me alot.he got me into kayak fishing and i owe alot off my success to him.he knows exactly where to fish and when im with him we will always catch fish even when the bite is off.

his knowledge down in big sur is the best!!he has put me in areas that i thought wouldnt hold a fish and have caught 30 fish there in 2 hours!! i would deffenitly reccomend one of his trips and clinics .he knows his shit .he has a 4 year degree in marine biology and has worked on alot of the local boats.

with halibut coming up .he will put you on top of them.his halibut guide  clinics are awsome.he will show you exactly how to catch them ,and yes there are alot of tricks of the trade.

p.s

his camping trips down in big sur are the most fun ive ever had.good food and good fishing
