Stoked for you on the new place Andy!!! I know you were stressing about that!!

We are moving out of the city and into A nice forested 3 acre secluded property in prunedale. Lots of turkeys and deer right on the property. Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas for me. Get the keys on the 19th. :smt007

F**K YEAH!

Congrats, homie!

I waited 10 months for my home's short sale to go through and ended up getting the keys on my Birthday 3 years ago.

Thanks bro but unfourtanetly we are on A long lease. I cant afford to buy A home in Cali. :smt003

Don't be so sure Andy...my mortgage in Watsonville is less than what my rent was in Capitola. Just saying eventually it might be good for you and the family to be able to own rather than rent...

I got a BAD ASS new wetsuit two weeks ago!!! My buddy Adam415 scored it for me on eBay for $250!!  :smt007 :smt007

At XXL size that is a LOT of westuit for $250!!  :smt044

Fits great and my first two dives with it I I got PB verms and then my biggest Ling of the year...must be the suit right?  :smt005

My wife, two daughters and I leave in 8 days to fly home to NOLA to see my family. This will be my first time back since I was there for my grandma's funeral so really looking forward to seeing everybody.

Will also be taking wife and oldest daughter to see the Saints/Falcons game on 12/21! Will be Valentina's first NFL game so REALLLLY hope we win!!

Also, am in touch with a local spearo who has offered to take me out on his boat to go diving and spearing out in the Gulf off the oil rigs if the weather cooperates!!!

Super excited about the possibility...grew up fishing the rigs but have never dove them and would be STOKED to jump in and see if I can shoot a snapper, cobia or amberjack!!!  :smt007 :smt007

Hope everybody has a great holiday season and focuses on family and friends and the positive things in life.

Sincerely,

Jim

Jim, I need a verm attracting suit.  Just curious on what you ended up getting.  I am a big guy also so making mental notes.  I have a semi dry suit and everyone tells me to get one made for freediving.  So far it's the only gear that I own that is in perfect shape.  I may get years out of it based on how well it worked this year but may consider using it for scuba.

The oil rigs sound like a blast.  I heard lots of fish hang out there.

My kids will be coming home for Christmas that's the best gift. Karen got me a new pressure canner to deal with the 100 pounds of tuna and YT in my freezer. I will be building my last tuna rod, a phenix abyss and finish upgrading all my Newell reels. I am building a gas engine mount for the AI. Last year was tough, this year a little better except for a dismal salmon season for me although the pelagics and trout made up for the salmon. Life is good and happy holidays to you all.

Duane, it's an Omer 3D camo 7mm.

My previous suit was a Yazbeck 7mm and it is great but after several years of hard diving it is pretty holey and compressed so was stoked when Adam let me know about the Omer!!

Here are two pics...

Looks like a nice set.  My Omer socks are falling apart after a few months.  Probably different material.

Well my wife is a Christmas fanatic.  The good thing for me is she can't keep secrets and never makes me wait until Christmas to open gifts.

So far I got the entry level GoPro from my mother who is out of town and couldn't keep me from opening it early and today the new Bank's board showed up.  Sort of not able to hide what it was.  I did take a peek and told her I would leave it until Christmas.  But she told me she knew as soon as the weather has a break I will be trying it out so I guess she decided not to wrap it.

I put my Heros on the Water sticker on it, but not sure if there is something I can put over it to keep it from peeling off.

Anyone else got cool stuff coming or going to break down and buy themselves something cool.

Where do you find the banks board? I can't seem to find them for sale on the web anywhere.

there's an email and phone number at the top right of this page,

http://www.banksboard.com/purchase.html

Also just post up the question as a new topic in classifieds like "Where do I buy a Banks Board"

Just ordered a bow from Cody at Tenbrook Archery.  the bad thing is I wont get it for about 22 weeks, he's back-logged.  Still it feels like a Christmas present.
