Fresh fuel for the generator, fresh starter battery, oil level checked, test run for ten minutes. I can run everything in the house from this puppy no warm beer or melted ice cream for this boy.

Then there is the Lance Camper on the 4x4 F350, with its ready to rock Honda 2000 too.

I need to invest in a generator soon.  And I have three freezers.  I can rent one if it comes to that but hope I don't have to.

big open ones like the one in my pic can run almost anything but they are loud and burn 3/4 gallon of gas per hour but they are relatively cheap but heavy and hard to move around.  Smaller enclosed units like my honda are quiet and sip fuel (gallon/8 hours) and weigh almost nothing but I paid more for the Honda 2000 watt than the Onan 6500 watt

The small Hondas are quiet. Vic let me borrow his for my fifth wheel but I would have to connect 2 of them to each other to power the whole house. I saw one at Costco for 1/2 the cost of a Honda but the noise level was a lot higher.  I may go with the 2 Hondas but it will be like 2k.  That's why I keep putting it of for fishing gear.

As they say, better to have them and not need them than to need them and not have them. Kudos to you for being prepared. I have no doubt we'll end up seeing someone on the news who was unprepared do something dumb that endangers themselves, their family, or others during the storm. :smt011

You mean like bbq inside the house.
Bingo. Or burns their house down with an unattended candle. Or uses an outdoor propane heater in the house and dies from carbon monoxide poisoning. Or drives over a flooded roadway and gets their Camry swept away. The ususal suspects.

The majority of heavy rain and wind did not amount to what was forecast in Mendocino County. Here is the current water stage report from Hopland

My front yard. Lol. Fife creek is usually a bit further away.
Gonna get the T13 out and float down to safeway for some chips and dip. All the neighbors and I moved the cars up to higher ground a few blocks away
