In case you were wondering, a standard padeye can be attached while bolting on a Scotty flush mount. Putting a padeye directly on the mount tends to keep leashes short, and can save drilling additional holes in your kayak.

The only catch I ran into (why is there always a catch?) is that the holes in the padeye need to be drilled out to accommodate 1/4" bolts. With a drill press, this part is easy. If you do have to drill stainless by hand, be sure to clamp the piece tightly, use some oil, and keep the bit straight. Finally, IMHO, plastic padeyes would probably not be a good choice in this application.
I don't like stuff that sucks.

that is very sweet.

plastic padeyes held up to the big jacks chuck and i got into in loreto a few years back. Much to my relief!
They're quite a bit stronger than they look

I've using plastic pad eyes myself for years.  Just like how your set up is.
