Played around some more with my footage from Saturday.

Can see here how all my dive gear stows inside my Kraken, some nice 9 inch abalone, a few scallops and lings, a baby Canary rockfish at about 2:50, and my three Vermillion.

Used a song that I have heard in a ton of videos and have been wanting to use for a long time.  :smt004

Outstanding video. I have yet to see a verm under water. Do they really look that greyish, to the naked eye?

I've been hesitant to shoot verm before because of the grayish color at depths too.

What stands out between the verm and canary for you while diving?

Also got to love that curious ling you shot first.  :smt001

Looks like a very productive spot thanks for sharing bro.  :smt007

Thanks guys...really glad you liked it!!

Al, it's a GoPro hero 3+ Silver...I dunno much about the differences between the various models but this one works good for me!

I did do some color correction with iMovie on this one which I think really helped the clarity in most of the clips.

Antonio, the verms that I have seen underwater (which really aren't that many) looked like their colors were darker and the lateral line less pronounced than that small canary you see in the vid.

I really haven't heard of free divers shooting canaries by mistake, but I double checked the chin back on the yak just to be sure.

 :smt002

Thanks again!!

Jim
