another forebay report 10/28

Headed out with buddy James. My first time there, so I started with the ol' Shad Rap. Best lure ever.
Missed two VIOLENT strikes trolling along the weedline (thanks Mooch) and got out in the open for nothing, so I made my way back and did a second pull trolling away from the bridge.
WHAM keeper striper on the boat. He was such a tugger and put in such a good effort, I thanked him for the giggles and released him. He got me with the spikes just as I let him go; I guess we both got even.

Caught two dinks in the open area of the lake and called it. James caught nothing (ha!)
 Good time. Great, healthy fish. Zero wind. I'll be back.

Right on  Hope you guys can make it on the 18th and 19th. (the camping / derby weekend)

actually, the 19th is probably a go; granny's birthday in Fresno on saturday, I could just swing in on the way home that night and fish sunday...let's hope that wind stays where it is now....
