T-Day report ~Free SUP for someone

So had everyone gone by 11:00 AM and headed up the hill.
Hiked Lower Lovers Leap from Strawberry CG.
Have been up to the top a ton of times, but never to the lower part.
Cool hike, great scenery.
Cracked open a nice bottle of good beer at the top and Becky and I shared it and our appreciation for being outdoors.
Headed back down and decided to stop at Strawberry Lodge for a Bloody Mary. Good call. Great old lodge feel, nice fire. Just right.
Pulled out of the parking lot onto HWY 50 and took a right instead of a left....headed to Tahoe.
Another good call.
Passed what looked like a new brewery at South Shore and they seemed to be open.
Flipped a U-Turn to check it out.
As luck would have it we were right.

They've been open for a whole 4 days!
This place is awesome.
Great food great beer.
They are in what used to be the old Swiss Chalet bar/restaurant.
If you have the chance to stop by either tomorrow or Saturday...DO IT!.
The new owner is opening up with a bang and is having a raffle on Saturday.
Tickets are only FREE just for showing up.
Grand prize is a cool looking SUP.
So less than a week open and giving away a SUP, lift tickets and other goodies. The only caveat is you have go in and get a FREE ticket. Need not be present to win.
After that we headed to check out what used to be the "pit" at Stateline.
They've built over the frontage road part with new shops. Looks great.
Hit a casino for a tiny bit and came out with some extra scratch to make things even better.
Had to take a pic of our favorite bagel shop at Tahoe as they are definitely in a festive spirit this time if year.
All in all a great way to spend T-Day since I couldn't make it to the coast.

Great pics, Mike.  Looks like a fantastic way to spend the holiday.  I've got that new brewery on my list for next July's Tahoe trip.   

I love driving through that part of 50.  Reminds me of a "little yosemite".

I remember standing in about that same spot in my college days climbing that rock in the middle of a snow storm.  We didn't quite make it to the top that day.  Sounds like a great trip though.  Thanks for sharing.

Lovers Leap is a beautiful place...I climbed it a handfull of times back in the day...such cool rock and the summit is killer.

Yeah my homegirl Deb opened that spot.... Shes had several soft openings... My buddy brews the beer too. Cool new joint!
