BlackFriday is coming up.
I know some of you old farts might not care, but for me, is a great way to save some money with a little bit of fighting the crowds and putting up with BS.

First, I'll be heading to Walmart (the worst place to go, I know).

Here's all for the sportsman warehouse

Bass pro shop (if your lucky to have one near you)

Anyways... You guys get the idea.

Common sense is not common.

I found a leaked copy of the H.D. ad last year towards the end of October.  Quickly printed it & took it to my local store to "pre-shop"  :smt002  Even the manager didn't get a copy till a few days before T-Giving.

This year ... no luck yet finding a leaked copy.

The Bass Pro one has some good deals but the lines will be HELLA long.

Wow, actually going to Walmart for the holiday (c)rush?  You are a braver man than I.  I just like to watch the internet videos of the utter mass chaos.

Didn't Walmart start their BF sale Thanksgiving evening last year?

I actually saw this first hand by accident a few years back.  I walked into WM thanksgiving day close to midnight to buy a fuse.  Completely forgot all about black friday since we were on the road driving all day (heading down for LA-Barstow-Vegas dirt ride).  I ended up escaping the crowds by exiting via the shipping area in the back of the store.  I vaguely recall two people fighting/tugging on a pillow that went on sale. LOL.

If I need something I'll pay extra to avoid the crowds.  We mostly make our gifts anyhow, (cookies, etc).

I like to make my own gifts too ... I usually start a few months in advance out in the woodshop.  Turning pens, bottle stoppers or hacking up a nice piece of walnut into one of my scroll saw pieces, it gives me a lot of joy.  I sadly must admit that I have done none of this year.  I've been a selfish a$$hole this year and only done stuff for myself  :smt009

I do, however have a stash of leftover pens that I made last year so guess I have gifts for this year after all ....  Or they are for sale if you need a handmade gift for someone!  :smt002

Its getting so absurd that I wouldn't be shocked if Wal-Mart starts having their Black Friday sale at midnight on Halloween in the future. Ya know, get the costume off, scarf some candy, and then fight off your neighbor to be the first to buy a cheap, crappy DVD player.  :smt014 :smt021

Abu Garcia Revo Toro Winch for $129: http://www.americanlegacyfishing.com/abu-garcia-revo-toro-winch-50.html
Thank you for the link! Just ordered one :smt007

So, I was on the fence about ordering another reel. Because the regular shipping was another $12.95. But I checked back today, and they are now offering an option for free shipping...which makes the total cost $129.95. OK where's my credit card?  :smt005
