I arrived at Howe around 7am, unloaded and hit the water. Did a slow drift down river while working a Blue Fox or a Meps spinner. Fished the pump for nothing and continued down river towards the college. There were a couple boats at the pump and 5 or 6 more between the walk bridge and I st bridge. Saw fishies rolling below the walk bridge, but didn't see anyone catch one. Met up with KayakJames near I st. We worked the area trolling k14's and spinners.

It turned out to be a beautiful day on the river. All of the Pb's were friendly and many shared fishing tips. I got no hits and only lost 2 weights due to snags. I was off the river around 11am, James stayed longer. I hope he got some action after I left.

Bummer on the no salmon again. Couple of friends were on the Moke yesterday and got skunked again. Where are the fish? I think we need some rain to kick things in to gear.

Sounds like a fun outing on the water.  Too bad nobody hooked up.

I am with -Mr G, I think we need some real rain or cooler weather. These warm afternoons are not dropping the water temperature much.

I hope the temps drop soon and the salmon start showing in decent numbers.

I agree.  Hope it happens soon.

I think I'll try the Sac river next time out. Garcia or Miller Park.
