thinking of trying some new water on sat (11/15) , a buddy welcome.

I live in Novato so can go either north toward sonoma or south toward SF.

I've never done Muir Beach, which sounds like some good rockfish and other potential. But someone posted about a 9am gate open which is a non-starter

Or maybe Bolinas, but about all I know is there are salmon a mile or so out. Maybe other fish near duxbury reef?

Or north toward sonoma coast, but I have no idea where to start but I hear there may be some secret spots.

Also,
I would not mind dropping a crab trap or two, but fish catching is my main goal.

Thoughts?    Let's go!
