I did the same basic install method on my Cuda using a tankwell scupper



And then passed the wire into the hull on the backside of the seat base. 



Not quite as tidy, but it has worked well.

My problem was I didn't think about the shape of the transducer when I purchased my Low 4hdi.  Scupper a bit narrow for the transducer. Settled for an over the side arm. Oh well. Live and learn.
