Crabfest 2015

Just a reminder when booking a site. If you do not book Sunday you will need to move by checkout time, It would be best to book Sunday night to not have to worry about moving during the event.

I'm in. Is it possible to get in the park early enough the morning of to be ready in time? Seems as though I recall a gate that is not opened until 7:00am.

The Jetty day use does not open until sunrise. You are able to pay at the iron ranger and drive to the gate at the Jetty Day use.

Don't worry traildad.  You'll have plenty of time.  Be at the gate early to get a good parking spot and you can get other things prepped while you are waiting.  I think the rangers open the gate a little earlier than the posted time.

I'm pretty slow getting ready. I suppose I could park at the gate and get ready while I wait. As I recall the launch is an easy wheel from the gate. I just noticed that the incomming tide doesn't start till around 10:00. Maybe there isn't a need to be out at first light. Is the crabbing good on the outgoing tide?

A few "day trip only" guys got there kinda early, parked right in front of the gate to the "Day Use" parking and rigged there kayaks; then brought them down to the beach, even before the gate opened. Then all they had to do when the gate opened, is grab a parking space and register...

Shoot, just car camp in the line to the Day Use area

No need to pre-register. I will post registration forms and waivers after the New Year. Just turn them in on Sunday morning.
