I reserved a campsite (Site #91) on the Jetty for Crabfest, but am not going to be able to make it.  :smt010  I paid $104.5 for 3 nights, but will sell the reservation for $75. It's for arrival on Friday, Jan 23 and check-out Monday, Jan 26.  Let me know if you are interested.

I'll take it.

Victor that logo is so rad. Nice work on that for sure. I know we will want hoodies and shirts for sure.

This will be Ethan's first year joining me in the yak. Can't wait!

Is swift the paddle sponsor for this year?

Also I'm going to donate a pile of Promar Crab gear. We decided to not sell crab gear anymore, so anything thats left over after our sale I'm donating to CF.

Awesome! That should be fun having Ethan out there. I don't know about Swift yet, but if not I will contact another paddle company.

Man, looking like it's nearly fully booked for that weekend at the campground.  All full at the Jetty, one left in the cove camp, a few in the gull camp.

Any idea about the typical availability of the non-reserveable walk-up only sites, and/or anybody backing out that wants to cede their reservation?

Hoping to get there with my wife for our first CrabFest!

Thanks,

Ron

I have no idea about the walk in sites, I know in the past some members have been able to get them. Hope it all works out and welcome to NCKA.

If you're aiming for a walk-up site, get there EARLY on that Friday. That's still not a guarantee you'll get one though. Its usually harder to do in the summer (walk-up sites are usually filled by 9am on Fridays in the summer), but its going to be a busy weekend at Doran. Usually, the fewer the reservable sites available on any given weekend, the harder its going to be to get a walk up site. I've tried to get a walk up four times and have only succeeded once. You can also try Westside or Bodega Dunes if you just need a place to crash and don't mind doing the day use thing at Doran. Good luck.

Thanks for the input, much appreciated!  Will likely take one of the further-out sites, or maybe one of the walk-in tent sites; those seem to be mostly available, and while not ideal, that's how I roll. I think.
