Here's another perspective...

I launched out of HMB today and had a trap that was last checked on Tues. I got to the spot and it's exactly where I left it and it had enough for a limit but I kept 9 in order to get another jumbo. I re-baited and also dropped 2 danielsons for the next 2 days. I also wanted to find more glory holes in shallow because the commie was going to drop his traps in the 35-40' range.

I'm motoring around at a pretty slow speed and pass a couple of bouys. I see surfers near the beach and thought that it could be their's. As I was heading north, the bottom was getting rocky so I turned around. I started to rig a ambush trap and basically have the yak on autopilot. Not knowing, I'm near their bouys and they start calling me a poacher! One of them even identified himself as DFW/G, which I think is illegal. Anyways, there wasn't anything that could be said or done - I was a poacher in their eyes and closest that I got was 20' from their buoy. Honest mistake. But, if you're going to cuss me out and call me a poacher, at the very least let me pull up your trap, open it up before cutting the line (I kid).  :smt006 If I did want to raid, I could have pulled both traps as they paddled helplessly. The world is filled with effin idiots.

I understand that traps get raided, but just a reminder to make sure that you have solid proof instead of jumping the gun.
