I am looking for some advice.  I know folks catch Dungies at Bodega, but has anyone ever crabbed at some of the launch spots farther north up the coast.

Thanks for the help,
Aaron

Encrypted message?   I may be out "poaching" your fishing grounds again this weekend.  I would like the opportunity to reciprocate the previous hospitality by feeding and watering my friends on the Sonoma Coast crew.
WX is looking decent both days.

Is the Ocean Cove campground still open? I know they shut down for the winter. Has anyone set crab traps out there? Was planning on going out there on Thursday for a combo.

At Timber Cove, the locals have been very successful with crab, but they go out about 1.5 miles to 200 ft of water.  I have tried in 70 to 150 ft of water with not luck. Unfortunately 200 ft is a no go for me in the kayak!  This past weekend one of the local TC residents, with friends, totaled 16 limits (yes, 160) of crab.  Kind of kicked sand on the 3 crab that I caught at Doran on Sunday!  Not to say that the 3 crab were not tasty...

Ocean Cove Campground closes last day of November. They follow the abalone season.
