I'm going to soak some pots in the A.M., and would like to do some fishing while they soak. Anybody got advice or location or what's worth targeting? Never Kayak fished that area before.

Thanks!

I've never fished that area before either, and I am interested in trying it out. Do you mind if I join you tomorrow morning?

You can target rays and sharks in the sandy areas. Near the rock jettys you can target rockfish and eel. For an adventure you can also try poke poling along the rock jetties. Try around the outer jetty since it gets less pressure.

Isn't there pretty good reef structure from bodega rock all the way accross to the other side of the bay, which may contain lingcod/rockfish?

Checking my topo map I see that there is some interesting possibilities. Andrewmvb, we are meeting at the tackle/dive shop directly out of Petaluma, on the bodega highway at 7:30, time change too, daylight savings. I'm in a blue F-150, Blue hobie.

  thanks for the info!!!

If you guys launch from Doran beach,  hug the shore on your left and go about 1.5 miles there're good structures and RF's area.
