I'm thinking about doing a little surf fishing this afternoon. Maybe the rain brought stripers to the Salinas river mouth?

Wow, that rain really piled up down south. Thats great to hear ! We got about a third of an inch here in Napa. None of what was forecasted to come down this morning materialized. Ground fog burned off and now its beautiful blue skies and a good breeze.

I drove to Monterey for late start....went to p.g and the waves and sell were not good....sat at the launch spot and had a coffee on the bench and timed the waves...it could have been done....I was watching some 15-20' PBs out on the reefs and they would sink out of site and 8 seconds later appear to be sitting on a hill of water..so that made my mind up...mbk launch...later now...no wind though and the rain was moving away...got all my gear out and started rigging the yak---down pour  :smt005

oh well it was passing

perfect day otw...went off the hotel and got lings ,switched did some rock fish which was fun and also scored a really nice verm..

Swell report was not coming east onto del monte or messing with me ,rain stopped 5-15 knot winds never came...BEAUTIFUL....paddling out as the storms and sun patches wrestled...unbelievable...some times it is overwhelming ,to be out there ,in such beauty...few pics

Heritage Ranch got between 3/4 and an inch. But with the massive drainage into Naci I'm sure the next rain if it comes soon will help
